The Whitsundays
Paul Arnusch (voz y percusión), Dave Swanson (guitarra y voces), Clint Frazier (batería), Lyle Bell (bajo y voces) y Doug Organ (teclados) forman The Whitsundays, grupo canadiense que reivindica la herencia de la psicodelia británica de la segunda mitad de los años 60. Nombres como The Zombies, The Kinks o Syd Barret (sin olvidar a los norteamericanos Beach Boys) son referencia obligada en las canciones de Paul Arnusch, líder de la banda y ex componente de Faunts o The Floor. El debut de The Whitsundays se publicará el 22 de enero en Estados Unidos editado por el sello Friendly Fire Recordings. It Must Be Me y Sorry James son dos de sus temas.

El susodicho verá la luz el sábado 22 de diciembre y para festejarlo
habrá tertulia de lanzamiento, y obviamente, el cd estará allí mismo,

La madre de la criatura tocará algunas canciones en guitarra,
habrá amigos músicos invitados, y por única vez tomará pedidos

Argentinian label OM Discos’ latest release, “Las Sales Fundentes”, offers a retrospective of compositions by Alan Courtis, founder member of Reynols. The double CD contains a selection of pieces composed by the artist throughout the last decade (1996- 2006). Courtis’ work includes over one hundred albums published by labels from Japan, Europe, USA, and Latin America. He has toured worldwide and collaborated with artists Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Yoshimi & Yamamoto (Boredoms), Damo Suzuki (Can), KK Null, Eddie Prévost (AMM), Rick Bishop (Sun City Girls), Pauline Oliveros, Kawabata Makoto (Acid Mothers Temple), Masonna, Mats Gustafsson, Tom Carter (Charalambides),Avarus, Toshimaru Nakamura, Tetuzi Akiyama,Rudolf Eb.Er, Kouhei, Astro (CCCC), Nihilist Spasm Band and Lasse Marhaug, among others.
This new CD compiles previously unreleased material along with a slection of works published in Germany, UK, Japan, Finland, Ukraine, Belgium, Norway, and USA. It also contains an Mpeg version of the experimental film “ABC ETC”. The release comes in a specially designed cardboard packaging with acetate window.
